On Sunday we celebrated Carson's 2nd birthday party! (His actual birthday is tomorrow, the 14th). It was a full out Barney Bash! Even though I wasn't thrilled about having a Barney themed party, I know that Carson would love it, and it is his day. So we went foward with purple and green EVERYTHING- the balloons, the streamers, the tablecloth, the plates, cups, the cake....you name it. We even topped it off with playing his favorite Barney DVD's (on repeat, the entire time). He had so much fun! He had all of his favorite people together at the same time, and better yet, they were all there for him! His favorite thing out of the entire party was definitely when we all sang "Happy Birthday" to him. He loves being the center of attention, so that was just the icing on the cake. He recieved so many great gifts, too! The common question leading up to the party was, "What do I get the kid that has everything?", but everyone managed to find him toys, books, dvds, and clothes that he didn't already have. He got everything from Elmo LIVE to a Handymandy Tool Set to Barney gear. He really did have a great day, we all did. I just cannot believe that he is about to be 2! Where did the time go? It goes so quickly...
