Updates & Pictures!

I know it's been a while since I updated last. I was having trouble transferring pictures from my camera to the computer...

Carson Update:

-We started taking Carson to speech therapy a few weeks ago, and he's doing great! We felt he was slightly behind in his speech development, so after voicing my concern to his pediatrician, he finally(!) referred us to a speech pathologist. Carson's already adding many words and phrases to his vocabulary...his latest in the fast 2 days are, "thank you" (or rather, "day-do"), "excuse me" (sus me), and "beautiful" (bee-u-di-dul). I'm very pleased with the progress he has made so far!

-Quite a few weeks ago, we switched Carson from a crib to a toddler bed! He's very quickly moving out of babyhood...ever since he has had this new found freedom of getting about of bed in the mornings, I am awaken to a very loud, "HELLO MAMA!" every single morning!

-Carson is learning to beatbox! He saw some guys doing it on PBS's The Electric Company, and walks around with his hand on his mouth "bee-boing" and swaying back and forth. It's too funny!

Harper Update:

-Harper (who LOVES his brother) has been watching Carson closely, and picking up good (and bad!) habits. Harper now babbles constantly on play phones (like Carson does), and even holds his hand over his ear and pretends to have conversations. It's really cute.

-Harper decided that he will not drink from a conventional spout-sippy cup. Instead he will ONLY drink from sippy's with straws (typically for 18 mon's up)....Coincidently, those are the kind of cups Carson drinks from

-Harper has become a master crawler, but is very slow to progress to the cruising and walking stage. I'm thinking he won't take his first steps for quite a few months. Who knows, he may surprise us, but he definitely won't be walking by his first birthday (just a couple of weeks away! Can you believe it? I can't!)

-Harper's favorite game is fake coughing (which always becomes a contest with Carson, who can cough the loudest) and his other favorite game is crawling into the kitchen and turning around to wait for me to "get after him" and when he see's me coming for him, he takes off.

Here are pictures from the past few weeks!
