really quick update on the chapel hill appointment:
the doctor is almost certain that the tumor in harp's leg is a fatty tumor (praise God!)
it's called a lipoma and is benign.
it's actually a bit larger than the ultrasound showed, and because of the size his doctor wants to avoid removing it due to the large incision/extensiveness that the surgery would entail.
we will have to go back once more for an MRI to absolutely confirm that it is in fact a lipoma.
unless it begins to hinder harper's walking or causes pain or discomfort, the tumor will be left where it is at for now.
that's all i've really got at this point-i'm exhausted and have loads of schoolwork to complete.
thank you all SO much for lifting my baby up in your prayers, and for your kind phone calls and emails.
until next time...
PRAISE THE LORD!!!! YIPEEEEE!!!!
ReplyDeleteI was so glad to hear that his lump was just a lipoma! How ironic that both of our boys are Harpers and both had/have lipomas?! Thank you for your sweet comment on my Harps sleep schedule. I shortened his nap to one hour and it still didn't help. I'm now teetering on no nap at all, but I just don't think he's ready. (neither am I!)
