Jumbo, Ya'll!

Carson is at the "kids say the darndest things" age... He keeps me laughing all the time. It's not that what he says is so hilariously funny. Its more that he usually just catches me off guard.

So here are some "Carsonisms" that I just have to "write down" so I can remember that little ham at this age.

"Hey mama, you know what?"

>what?

"I LOVE Uncle Terry"

> oh really? thats good baby.

"Noooo, I'm just joking. I love grandma!"

Carson had learned some time back how to count in Swahili (via Barney). The other day he was going through his numbers and reminded us that "Jumbo" means "hello" in Swahili. I had been teasing Kane that all this weight he's been gaining lately has gone sraight to his...um..."rear-end" and I suppose Carson must have picked up on my teasing. So Carson blurts out, "Jumbo, Daddy! And I'm not talking about your butt!"

I got Carson ready for Church the other day, and afterwards he slips on his glasses, puts on his hat, and says, "mama you know what?"

>what?

"I look coooooool baaaaaby!"

A few days ago Harper was being a brat difficult and kept hitting my arm. I was ignoring it but finally looked over at Carson and asked, "Carson, why is your brother being so mean to me?" Carson brought his face in front of mine, eyes wide, and whispered very seriously, "Its cuz he's a vamfire."

Okay this last one is completely unrelated and not funny in the least, but I just had to share it. I took the boys to the park this morning and shortly after we arrived a lady showed up with 6 kids. They dispersed throughout the playground and one little boy came over to where the boys were and made his way to the slide. When Carson saw him heading down the slide (and almost plummeting Harper) he grabbed Harper protectively and dragged him back. When the little boy got off the slide, he ran up to Harper, all the while Carson pulling him away. The kid got right in Harp's face, so Carson pushed Harp away and shouted, "You stay away from my brodder!"

I'm not going to lie, my heart swelled with pride. I was so proud of Carson for sticking up for his little "brodder." I mean I'm not thrilled at his confrontation, but Carson truly thought his little brother was in danger, and stood up for him. (oh and by the way, the kid was totally harmless. friendly actually...)

happy weekend everyone!
