A Day In (My) Life...

This is what my day-to-day life has looked like recently:

7 A.M: Wake up to the boys' elbowing/stepping on/kicking me as they crawl into bed with us.

7-8 AM: Lazy around the house, desperately trying to wake up.

8 A.M: Force myself off the couch and supervise the boys' as they clean up the huge mess they have managed to already make in the short time they have been awake.

8:30 A.M: Breakfast/put my make-up on at the dinner table....

9:15 A.M: Clean up breakfast and get the boys and myself ready for the day.

9:30 A.M: Head over to our new house to paint.

10 A.M-Noon: Paint.

12:30 P.M: Return home. Straighten up house/start preparing lunch.

1-1:30 P.M: Lunch time.

1:30-3:30 P.M: The boys' nap time. I do schoolwork for my internet classes at this time.

3:30-4 P.M: The boys' snack time. I can usually sneak in blogging/reading blogs/Facebook at this time.

4-5:30 P.M: Clean current house/fold laundry/pack.

5:30-6:30 P.M: Prepare dinner while simultaneously washing breakfast/lunch dishes.

6:30-7 P.M: Dinner. (We have to eat a bit later because of Kane's work schedule.)

7-8 P.M: While I clean up from dinner and wash the dishes, Kane gives the boys' their bath, brushes their teeth, gets them ready for bed and reads to them.

8 P.M: The boys' bedtime. I hop in the shower at this point.

8:30-11:30 P.M: Schoolwork for my internet courses.

Midnight: Bedtime for me. Finally.

The morning activities vary. If we aren't painting, then I am packing at home/grocery shopping/running errands.

I'm exhausted.

This week has been especially brutal because poor Harp has a nasty cold and (inevitably) gave it to me.

I am sooo ready to set settled into our new house and get back into regular routine again!!!

  1. So exhausting.

But I hate to break it to you, I'm sure it will be equally exhausting once you move.

Kids do that to you. They're little life sucking leaches. ;)

I know you already know that though.
