harp had an ultrasound this morning to see what the bulge in his leg was.
the radiologist and harp's pediatrician said there is definitely a "soft tissue mass" of some sort in the muscle of his leg. it doesn't appear to be connected to his bone...which is about the only good news we received.
they want us back in chapel hill so they can run tests as soon as possible...as soon as possible in the medical world could be a few weeks, but i'll know more this afternoon.
his ped said it could be just a fatty tumor....or something else...regardless, it's not suppose to be there.
for now i'm just working on getting an appointment set up with his surgeon.
thanks for everyone's prayers and kind words...it really does mean the world to us.
UPDATE: we have an appointment scheduled for next wednesday in chapel hill. we will (hopefully) know more then. we will continue to keep everyone updated.

Thanks for the update Maria. As soon as you know when Harper's appt. will be, let me know & if you need me to keep Carson or just cook dinner for you guys, don't even ask just let me know WHEN. I'll be thinking and praying for my little guy. I know how tough he is and we are all here for you guys. Love you!

Hey! I am definitely praying for Harper. Again, I know EXACTLY what you are going through and I'm always here if you need to chat. If you want to ask any specific questions, please email me! You can find my email on my blog. I have to say that going straight to Chapel Hill is one of the best things you can do. I wouldn't mess around too much locally because in our experience, the Drs. and the pathologists can be very confusing and usually send off "questionable" pathology to Duke or Chapel Hill anyway. Again, praying for you all!
