Kindergarten and 1st Grade!!!

Whew.

That pretty much sums up life right now, haha! I just realized today that I haven't sat down to blog about the boys first day (err....week..) of school!

Last Monday, I sent my oldest babies off to Kindergarten and 1st Grade! They had a pretty good week, overall! Harp is having the time of his life! Preschool (and now Kindergarten) has really allowed him to blossom and branch off from big brother's shadow. He is such a friendly, easy-going kid, and has already made several "best friends," and is apparently in love with a girl in his class named Sophia (I'm only half joking...). Carson has had an overall good week, but he has had one hiccup with his first grade teacher substitute...His real teacher is on maternity leave until the end of the month, so hopefully things will go more smoothly when she gets back.

We've also been busy with football practice every Tuesday & Thursday nights, and church on Wednesdays.

Here are a few first day of school pics!

these two

Four nights in a row of "camping"...

Tent.

Giggles.

Flashlights.

Dirty socks.

A few shoves here and there.

Belly laughs.

and finally...cozy sleep.

one of those things

this is one of those memories i want to hold on to.

every morning in the summer, the boys get up at the crack of dawn, pop in a movie, and sit together on the couch with blankets.

they spend the vast majority of the day teasing each other relentlessly. but through and through, they are best friends.

quick update + pictures

**Harp's eyes are fine. He has an MRI scheduled for the 27th to see if there are any AVMs located in his head. Grant's ophthalmology appt is next week (I'm taking him here locally-he has a LOT of puffy/swelling under his eye). Grant's craniofacial appt. is set for September & his genetics/metabolism appt is in November. Both of those are in Chapel Hill. Oh and I have yet to set up Harp's follow up for the AVM in his leg because I wanted to see the results of the local MRI first. And yes, if you are wondering, I have a big folder & calender that helps me keep up with all of these appointments!**

Just some grainy cell pictures from the past week!

carson & grant

the boys are currently obsessed with almond milk!

Harp was just a little bored waiting for his eye appointment. At least he was quiet!

sweet baby.

he can roll from his front to his back!

and look who is sitting up (assisted)!

my brood.

"Harpy" & his baby. Yes he calls him his baby.

too much fun.

the boys do this all the time.

carson is taller, but harp is stockier so it always makes for lots of fun.

i swear they own clothes, they just prefer not to wear them!

(^whats up with all my choppy sentences?)

oh, and rest assured, carson has had a haircut since this picture was taken and harper has a hair appointment set up for next week.

boys boys boys

we are SO excited about this baby.

to know that the boys will have another brother to love on and lean on makes me feel so incredibly blessed.

around 32514 times a day, harp walks up to my belly and makes a face at the baby.

he's going to be such a good big brother.
